Ancient Secrets (Yangshuo)

Ancient towns always make me feel like the walls are carrying thousand-year-old secrets and if you’re patient enough and quiet enough, they’ll share them with you. This little fishing village is perfect for a stroll. It features cute stores selling fragrances and jewelry. There are many restaurants where you can try Guilin cuisine and my favorite “beer fish”. The village is right beside the river and there are boat cruises that take you to the famous ¥20 note scene. We visited a great coffee shop that had a wonderful dingy ambience. The coffee was very tasty too. The village is very touristy so don’t go there with the intention of learning a ton about Yangshuo’s history. There are hundreds of women trying to sell tours and rent out Ebikes. Just tell them “no thanks” and move on with your day. #yangshuo #passionpassport #gooutside #xingpingvillage
