It was a trip to Xiangyang, China 🇨🇳 We recently visited Xiangyang, a city filled with ancient history, stunning river views, and traditional architecture. From centuries-old city walls to scenic parks, Xiangyang is a paradise for photographers and history lovers alike 🙌 We started our day at the Xiangyang Ancient City Wall, one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. Walking along the top of the wall, we captured stunning views of the Han River on one side and the traditional rooftops of the old town on the other. The best time for photography 📸 is early morning, when the golden sunlight casts long shadows on the historic bricks. I would recommend visiting before 9 AM to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and get the best lighting for your photos 🙌 📍Fancheng District, Xiangyang, Hubei, China For a deep dive into history, we explored Gulongzhong, the former residence of Zhuge Liang, the legendary strategist from the Three Kingdoms era. Nestled in a lush green valley 🌳 this place is perfect for capturing photos of ancient pavilions, bamboo forests, and stone pathways. One of the best shots is from the Thatched Cottage, where you can frame the rustic house with trees and mountains ⛰️ in the background. I would recommend visiting around 10–11 AM, when the light highlights the textures of the wooden structures and surrounding nature ✨ 📍No. 6 Gulongzhong Road, Xiangcheng District, Xiangyang, Hubei, China We then visited Tangcheng Film Studio, a massive Tang Dynasty-style movie 🎥 set where many famous Chinese dramas have been filmed. Walking through the studio felt like stepping back in time, with grand palace gates, elegant corridors, and traditional lanterns creating a perfect historical backdrop for photography 📸 One of the best photo spots is the main palace courtyard, where you can get a cinematic shot with intricate wooden doors and golden rooftops ✨ 📍Tanxi Road, Xiangcheng District, Xiangyang, Hubei, China We also headed to Zhuge Liang Square by the Han River to catch the sunset 🌇 The view of the Han River reflecting the golden hues of the setting sun is absolutely breathtaking.
