Lohkah Hotel Xiamen | The so-called "ceiling of Xiamen" is just okay Once you get into staycations, you'll want to lounge in a different city even on weekends From Fuzhou to Xiamen for some relaxation, this time I stayed in two room types: the one-bedroom and harbor-view one-bedroom. If booking twin beds, please note most twin rooms have side-by-side beds, so I specifically requested front-view twin beds when booking. Their twin rooms cost about 300 yuan more than king beds. Without the classic symmetrical design, it feels somewhat lacking. Those prioritizing views can directly book the classic harbor-view rooms. The rooms are indeed beautiful, with high-end amenities and hardware - Loewe TVs, Hermès furniture - but nothing else particularly impressed me. The public areas weren't as stunning as expected, less serene and elegant than Wuhan Hyatt (a hidden gem in the same luxury category) which also offers much better value. During my stay, I encountered cleanliness issues - probably dealt with housekeeping interns? Their professionalism didn't match the price point at all, though their attitude was good. There are various free classes available during your stay, but staff didn't proactively mention them at check-in. Since I wasn't planning to attend anyway, I didn't inquire. The thermal pool is free to use - worth trying if interested. Breakfast is semi-buffet style with decent taste, but again, service was lacking... Overall experience was bumpy - style over substance, with overall standards not particularly high. Calling it "Xiamen's ceiling" is something I can't agree with. These are purely my personal impressions.
