The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is a famous historical and cultural attraction.

Historical origin The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda was built in 648 during the reign of Emperor Taizong of the Tang dynasty. It was built by Prince Li Zhi to honor the kindness of his deceased mother, Empress Changsun. The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda was built by the monk Xuanzang to preserve the scriptures and Buddha statues he brought back from India. Architectural features The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is 64.517 meters high. It is a brick pagoda with a simple and majestic style. The pagoda is a square cone, with openings formed by a wood-like structure, and the bricks are tightly joined together. Each layer has arched doors on all four sides, and there is a wooden staircase inside the pagoda that spirals upwards. Main attractions - Artifacts on each floor: the first floor has famous calligraphy tablets from the Tang, Song, Yuan, and Qing dynasties; the second floor has gilded bronze Buddha statues; the third floor has the national treasure palm leaf scriptures; the fourth floor has Buddha bone relics; the fifth floor has Tang bricks; the sixth floor has a seismograph; the seventh floor offers a panoramic view of Xi'an. - Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Square: the north square is known as the largest sculpture square in Asia, with spectacular music fountain performances. The central square in the south has a statue of Xuanzang, and the surrounding environment is beautiful.
