In Delta, I felt the internal competition of Xi'an Hotel After six years, I came to Xi'an again and stayed at the Xi'an Delta, which opened in 2023 near Longshouyuan. This is also my 161st hotel stay experience. After staying for two nights, I deeply felt the "involution" (a positive word, haha) of hotels in Xi'an. There was no prior discussion, but the hotel recognized my membership on the day of check-in and helped me upgrade to a business suite. Compared with regular rooms, it has an additional living room of more than ten square meters, and because it is a south-facing corner room, the entire living room and corridor area are illuminated by the south, and it is very comfortable with the sunshine. This is my second time staying at the Delta brand. Unlike the blue elements of the Delta in Kunming, the Delta in Xi'an uses more light wood tones similar to Courtyard by Marriott, and has a stronger business style (for detailed room layout, I will post an immersive unboxing video separately). I have a few thoughts on "involution" to share: √Lounge: This is the first time I have seen a 24-hour lounge (you can swipe your card to come in at midnight), which is very nice for me. I went to happy hour on both days. There was a wide variety of hot food, including pies made on site. The next day, the lounge lady recognized me and offered to "save your seat for yesterday," which touched me. √ Cleaning: The cleaning lady will write a separate handwritten card. The words are simple, but you can feel her attentiveness and the room is cleaned very carefully (certified by Virgo haha). √ Front desk: The occupancy rate is relatively high, but the front desk is well staffed. I passed by many times but never saw a queue. There was a problem with the room card in the middle, and they were very enthusiastic to help solve it. √ Breakfast: There are fried skewers for breakfast? It’s the first time I’ve seen it, and almost all the local snacks of Xi’an are also available (such as Ma Shi, etc.). Delta's position in the Marriott system is indeed not low, and it is on the same level as Sheraton, but compared with the Sheraton I stayed in before, this Delta is indeed worth it. An "excellent" one. The only suggestion is that every time I go out and come back to the room, the power is off for protection. After I open the door, the TV in the living room automatically starts advertising, and the sound is so loud that it scares me (set it to not automatically cut off for protection). The subway station is 200 meters away from the hotel, which goes directly to the Bell Tower, Muslim Street, Xiaozhai, etc. It is very convenient. Next time I come to Xi'an, this is definitely a hotel worth staying in again.
