Today, I'd like to recommend a one-day tour route that is not only less crowded and scenically beautiful, but also rich in cultural heritage. Yu Yuan ➡️ Yan Fu Temple ➡️ Baishuijiao Waterfall ➡️ Taishan Temple ➡️ Shanxiabao Village Check-in spots: 1⃣️Yu Yuan: Yu Yuan Taiji Star Village was designed and built during the Ming Dynasty by the founding strategist Liu Bowen, based on the celestial bodies and the 'Twelve Zodiac Signs and Twenty-Eight Constellations' arrangement. It is full of historical sites, with well-preserved ancient houses and bridges, and exquisite wood, brick, and stone carvings that are simply breathtaking. Recommended visiting time: 2h 2⃣️Yan Fu Temple: In 1934, the couple Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin conducted field surveys and mapping here. It is one of the only three remaining Yuan Dynasty buildings in the south of the Yangtze River. The main hall of Yan Fu Temple is the earliest and most intact Yuan Dynasty building in the Jiangnan area. It is of great value for the study of architecture during the Song and Yuan dynasties. Remember to walk inside. The outside is newly expanded. The ancient Yan Fu Temple is at the foot of the mountain. Recommended visiting time: 2h 3⃣️Baishuijiao Waterfall Wuyi's 'Little Baijiajian' is more spectacular around Qingming Festival when the rainfall is abundant! Recommended visiting time: 1h 4⃣️Taishan Temple A thousand-year-old ancient temple hidden in the deep mountains, very simple and quiet Check-in spots: Fuhu Rock in front of the temple, the Great Buddha behind the temple, the Gushan Fairy Well in the east wing, and the tea mountains along the way Recommended visiting time: 2h 5⃣️Shanxiabao Written into 'The History of Chinese Architecture' by Liang Sicheng and recommended by 'National Geographic' as the 'perfect mountain residence' An uncarved, antique Jiangnan residential house Recommended visiting time: 2h If you want to take your time, you can skip one or two spots or split it into a two-day tour. 🥘Gourmet: You can try Xuanping wontons, meat wheat cakes, taro dumplings, meat wheat cakes, and Ai cakes in Liucheng.
