Crossing mountains and rivers, encountering the scenic wonders of three destinations

On this journey, discovering different landscapes is like opening doors to new worlds. This time, I embarked on a trip to explore the beauty of nature and culture, visiting Yuelu Mountain in Changsha, the Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhan, and Laojun Mountain. Each destination left me with unique awe and emotion. 📍Yuelu Mountain: A blend of scholarly charm and nature Stepping into Yuelu Mountain feels like entering a profound historical tome. Walking along the winding mountain paths with the breeze brushing my face, I could almost hear echoes of history. Though the recitations of scholars have long faded at Yuelu Academy, the rich scholarly atmosphere lingers in the air, inspiring deep reverence for the wisdom and pursuit of knowledge of ancient scholars. Aiwan Pavilion is a gem of Yuelu Mountain, with its red pillars and green tiles standing out vividly against the lush trees. In late autumn, the fiery maple leaves complement the pavilion, creating a breathtaking scene that truly embodies the poetic line, "I stop my carriage to admire the maple grove at dusk; the frosted leaves are redder than February flowers." Standing in the pavilion, gazing at the mountain scenery and feeling the gentle breeze, my heart was filled with contentment. Along the way, I also encountered the tombs of many notable figures whose contributions to the nation and its people stand as tall and majestic as Yuelu Mountain itself, commanding deep respect. Reaching the summit, I took in the panoramic view of Changsha, where the city's vibrancy starkly contrasts with the mountain's tranquility, evoking admiration for the harmonious coexistence of nature and human civilization. 📍Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge: A steel giant spanning the Yangtze How could I miss the magnificent Yangtze River Bridge when visiting Wuhan? This steel giant stretching across the Yangtze is not only a transportation hub but also a witness to history. Standing at the bridgehead, watching the mighty river flow eastward, I felt a surge of pride. The upper level of the bridge is a wide roadway bustling with traffic, while the lower level is a busy railway with trains speeding past. Strolling along the bridge, I admired the scenery on both banks as the river breeze brought a refreshing coolness. In the distance, the Yellow Crane Tower loomed faintly through the mist, as if whispering ancient tales. Completed and opened in 1957, this bridge embodies the dedication and ingenuity of countless builders. Its construction transformed the Yangtze from a natural barrier into a thoroughfare, greatly advancing Wuhan's development and becoming a milestone in China's bridge-building history. From this vantage point, surrounded by mountains and rolling seas of clouds, I felt as though I had ascended to the heavens. Walking along the plank paths, I embraced the mountain's serenity and mystery, breathing in the crisp air, and felt deeply relaxed. Laojun Mountain boasts not only stunning natural scenery but also a profound Taoist cultural heritage. Here, the marvels of nature and human wisdom blend seamlessly. As night fell, the mountain's lights twinkled like stars, merging with the sky, transporting me back to a mystical ancient era. The scholarly aura of Yuelu Mountain, the grandeur of the Yangtze River Bridge, and the ethereal beauty of Laojun Mountain left indelible impressions on me.
