Solo Trip: One-Day City Walk in Wuhan (Intense Itinerary)

Solo Trip: One-Day City Walk in Wuhan (Intense Itinerary)📝🚶🏻‍♀️‍➡️Route: Xian'an Lane➡️Pinghe Lane➡️Li Huangpi Road➡️Red Gift House➡️Tongxing Lane➡️Ba Mansion➡️Former Site of Pinghe Dabao➡️Qingdao Road➡️Jianghan Customs Museum➡️Wuhan Ferry, Wuhan Customs Wharf➡️Zhonghua Road Wharf➡️Liangdao Street Snack Street➡️Yellow Crane Tower at Simenkou (The last photo is a route map for your reference) ⌚️Time: 10:00–20:30 ⚠️If you want to watch the sunset on the ferry, make sure to catch the ferry before 18:00. Transportation: From Xian'an Lane to the ferry, the entire journey is a city walk. Each spot is only a few hundred meters apart, and the route is designed to avoid backtracking, making it a smooth and efficient way to explore.🌟Personal Preference Ranking: Top 1 is Li Huangpi Road. Li Huangpi Road has preserved many modern European-style buildings. The plane trees lining the road create a Shanghai-like atmosphere. One of the advantages of traveling alone is that you don't focus too much on taking pictures but instead immerse yourself in the atmosphere. I was lucky enough to meet a local grandpa who shared a lot of Wuhan's history with me. Along the way, I saw everyone busy taking pictures, but few people truly understood the history of these streets in Wuhan. I hope that if you visit Wuhan someday, you can put down your phone and learn more about the stories behind these buildings. Top 2 is Tongxing Lane, which could be tied for first place with Li Huangpi Road. Tongxing Lane is a shopper's paradise for me. The entire street is filled with vintage shops. I bought a handmade wool hat and a dress, both unique and reasonably priced. If you have time, spend more time in Tongxing Lane, as every small shop is a treasure trove. Top 3 is the ferry ride at sunset. The Yangtze River Bridge and the sunset are truly healing. There is also a sunset viewing platform at Zhonghua Road Wharf, perfect for taking beautiful pictures! ⚠️My itinerary is relatively packed, mainly because I wanted to see and experience as much as possible since I was already there. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, you can adjust the itinerary by removing a few places. However, my route is generally efficient, and you'll likely encounter these places even if you don't plan to visit them specifically, as they are all close to each other. You can choose to spend more time at the places that interest you most. 🍜Food: I recommend having breakfast near your accommodation. For lunch, you can find a cafe on Li Huangpi Road or Tongxing Lane. Save your appetite for a feast at Liangdao Street, which offers a wide variety of delicious and affordable food!
