Wuhan in March is truly romantic. 🌸 To see cherry blossoms in Wuhan, you must visit the East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden, considered the best place in Wuhan for cherry blossom viewing. As one of the world's top three cherry blossom capitals, the garden features a stunning combination of Japanese-style architecture and cherry blossoms. With a wide variety of cherry blossom species, early-blooming, Somei Yoshino, and late-blooming cherry blossoms bloom in succession from early to mid-to-late March. 🕒 Blooming period: Early March to late March 🌸 Early-blooming cherry blossoms: Early March 🌸 Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms: Mid-March 🌸 Late-blooming cherry blossoms: Late March If you only visit the garden once, we recommend seeing the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms in late March. The sight of thousands of cherry trees in full bloom is truly breathtaking.😭 In addition to the daytime scenery, we also recommend viewing the cherry blossoms at night for a different kind of beauty. 🏠 East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden (665 Lumo Road, East Lake Scenic Area) 💰 60 (100 for a flower viewing combo ticket, which also grants access to the Plum Garden and allows unlimited entry) Early-blooming cherry blossoms are concentrated near the ancient buildings at the entrance and near the Happy Jungle. The first wave only has four or five trees, but there will be a larger area of blossoms later. Transportation: 🚌 Bus: Take bus 401/402/413 to Lumo Road Moshan Station and walk for 5 minutes. (Avoid peak hours, as traffic can be heavy in the afternoon.) 🚗 Car or taxi: Navigate to the Moshan parking lot. Traffic is especially heavy during the cherry blossom season each year, so we recommend leaving early in the morning or getting out of the car a few kilometers away and riding a bike to the garden. 🚢 East Lake cruise: Take the subway to Liyuan Station, walk to the Chufeng Garden pier, and take a boat. We recommend going right when it opens, or entering the park and walking towards the back to start your visit. 🏠 Accommodation: We recommend staying near Liyuan, which is convenient for taking the subway and visiting the Provincial Museum. Alternatively, Guanggu Square is very close to the Cherry Blossom Garden and is a bustling area with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options.
