I finally found a super cool hotel in Wuhan!

Review of Wuhan Marriott Hotel Optics Valley: Experience and Reflection I recently stayed at Wuhan Marriott Hotel Optics Valley and would like to share my experience with you. Hotel Highlights Wuhan Marriott Hotel Optics Valley opened in 2020. The exterior design is unique, with a huge Rubik's cube pattern that is full of modernity. The public area is transparent and comfortable, with elegant color layout, exquisite decorations, and a strong business style. The hotel has 326 rooms, which are spacious and well-equipped, including 14 suites and 1 presidential suite. All bathrooms are equipped with separate showers and bathtubs. The executive lounge is located on the 17th floor, with a great view overlooking Optics Valley Gaoxin Avenue. The indoor heated swimming pool and gym on the 7th floor provide guests with a variety of leisure options. Check-in Experience 💎Room Type/Layout The room has a good view, with a half-floor-to-ceiling window facing Optics Valley Gaoxin Avenue. The room is about 46 square meters, with a gray-blue color scheme that gives a calm and comfortable feeling. The room is also equipped with electric curtains and window screens, providing a good living experience. 🛏️Supplies/Facilities The hotel has not been open for long and is currently in its best use period, with relatively new facilities. The welcome gift is Perrier water. Although there is no fruit, Perrier water has its own flavor. The lounge is open from 10:00 to 23:30, offering afternoon tea and happy hour. The afternoon tea has a variety of desserts, and the happy hour has 5 hot dishes, which are better in quality and taste than those at Sheraton Wuhan Hankou. 🍽️Dining Experience There is room for improvement in the breakfast experience. The breakfast is average, with some local specialties, but the taste is relatively ordinary. The restaurant does not provide warm water, only hot water. If you need bottled water, you have to get it at the front desk. In addition, there was a small episode during the meal. I returned to the restaurant less than half a minute after breakfast to get my luggage, but was asked to swipe my card to enter. The restaurant staff seemed to have no impression of my previous dining experience. 🏠Location and Service The hotel is located in Optics Valley, with incomplete commercial facilities around. It is far from the city center, and it takes about 1 hour to get there by any means of transportation. In terms of service, there is a certain gap compared to Changsha JW Marriott Hotel, which I stayed at before the Spring Festival. This stay made me deeply aware of the differences in service details between different hotels. Overall, Wuhan Marriott Hotel Optics Valley performs well in terms of hardware facilities, but there is room for improvement in terms of service and location. Considering the price of over CNY 200 per night during the Spring Festival, this performance is acceptable. Taking all factors into consideration, I give this hotel a recommendation rating of 3 stars. ✅Soundproofing/Cleanliness: Overall performance is good, with good soundproofing and cleanliness. 🧹Supplies/Facilities: The facilities are relatively new, and the supplies are complete, meeting the basic needs of guests. 🏘️Room Type/Layout: The room is spacious, with a reasonable layout and a wide view. 💰Per Capita Consumption: After deducting points during the Spring Festival, the actual expenditure was CNY 226, with a good cost performance. 💗Other Tips: There are few commercial facilities around the hotel, so it is necessary to plan the itinerary in advance before traveling. The lounge is crowded during holidays, so it is recommended to go early to enjoy a comfortable dining environment.
