Wuhan, the City of Rivers and Lakes Wuhan is a city of rivers and lakes, and the phrase "Wuhan, the City of Rivers and Lakes" perfectly captures its essence. When it comes to river beaches, Wuhan has plenty, but my personal favorite is Hankou. 📍Address: Yanjiang Avenue, Jiang'an District 🕙Opening Hours: 5:00–22:30 🚉Transportation: Nearest subway station: Jianghan Road 🧳Preparation: Bring a jacket in autumn and winter, as it can be windy and cold by the river. 👍Recommended Route: ① Jianghan Road → ② Jiqing Street (for a bite to eat, try Wufangzhai, Cailinji, etc.) → ③ Lihuangpi Road → ④ Hankou River Beach → ⑤ Zhiyin Cruise Basically, just follow the river! ⏳Duration: At least 2 hours, depending on whether you combine it with other attractions. 🧳Preparation: Bring a jacket and a power bank. ❤Why I Recommend It: This is the perfect transfer point, as it can be combined with many other attractions. 🌟Highlights: 1. Don't miss the Zhiyin Cruise. 2. You can board the old destroyer for a tour. 📝Tips: 1. There are many hotels nearby to choose from. Some hotels with sea view rooms (e.g. Marco Polo) offer great views. 2. There are many attractions nearby, so you can plan a visit to see the sunset or take a cruise. 3. The famous 716 ship is located here. 4. The most authentic hot dry noodles are the ones with just green beans and sesame paste. Beef hot dry noodles and other variations are a waste of a meal in Wuhan.
