Geumgangsan Mountain, a great place to hike during your exciting summer vacation in Wonju

#Heart-pounding summer vacation Wonju ✨️Gamaksan✨️ is a mountain located on the border between Bongyang-eup, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do and Sinrim-myeon, Wonju-si, Gangwon-do (altitude: 886m). It spans Myeongam-ri, Bongyang-eup and Hwangdun-ri, Sinrim-myeon, Wonju-si. There was Gamaksanseong Fortress, and unlike other mountain fortresses in Jecheon, this mountain fortress does not have a river. It extends from Chiaksan Mountain to the north and connects to Seokgiamsan Mountain to the south. The Jungang Expressway and National Road No. 5 pass through the west side of the mountain. Just below the peak is Baekryeonsa Temple, founded by Master Uisang in 662 (the second year of King Munmu of Silla), and behind the temple are two rocks called Dongja Rock and Seonnyeo Rock. It is a mountain where you can drive to the temple near the peak.
