A Hidden Gem You Don't Know About—Wenling Changyu Dongtian

Filming location of Liu Yifei's version of The Return of the Condor Heroes: A place more ethereal than Shenxianju (Fairyland). Inside and outside the caves feels like two different worlds. It's hard to tell if it's the past, the present, or even the future. 🪨 Guanxi Dong (Sunset Cave) This cave is quite a climb. 🦵 Be prepared for long and steep staircases. At the top, you can see a mural of Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy). There's no turning back once you start climbing. On the way down, you can overlook the unique rock quarry music hall performances. There are four shows a day: 10:00-10:30 / 13:30-13:50 / 14:30-14:50 / 15:30-15:50. 📷 Shuiyun Dong (Water Cloud Cave) A filming location for many movies and TV series, this is also the most beautiful and photogenic cave. Inside, the cave showcases the history and geography of quarrying. The scattered rocks and the sunlight streaming in from the top create a picturesque scene. 🐼 Panda House (Huanhuan and Yaoxin) Just down the steps opposite Guanxi Dong. When I went at noon, the two pandas 🐼 were lazily basking in the sun while munching on bamboo, completely absorbed in their own world. They were incredibly cute. A must-see for panda lovers. 💡Tips: This was a quarry in ancient times. The entire mountain is hollowed out, and the walkways are built along the cliffs, allowing visitors to appreciate the unique beauty of each cave. Comfortable shoes 👟 are recommended. 🍴Food options are limited inside the scenic area. It's recommended to bring your own food.
