After traveling around Wanning, I truly believe that Hainan Wanning is a treasure trove for family trips with kids. ✈️ It's less crowded, the scenery is beautiful, and there are many kid-friendly 👶🏻 places to play. The prices are also more affordable than Sanya. Based on my travel experience, I've put together a super practical guide for moms to explore Wanning with their little ones. 📖 Save it now! 🔴Transportation Wanning doesn't have an airport. You can choose to fly to Sanya, Haikou, or Boao, and then take a high-speed train. 🚄High-speed Train: 1️⃣Sanya to Wanning: around CNY 40, about 40 mins. 2️⃣Haikou to Wanning: around CNY 60, about 50 mins. 3️⃣Boao to Wanning: around CNY 17, only 15 mins. Please note that Wanning Railway Station is located in Wanning's city center, a bit far from the scenic areas. Shenzhou Railway Station is closer to the scenic areas, so it's recommended to choose Shenzhou Station first. If you're driving from Haikou, you'll pass by Shanqin Bay Swallow Cave along the way. The scenery is spectacular, don't miss it! 🎈Guide for Kids ⭐️Fenjiezhou Island: It boasts a stunning jelly-like sea. Kids will love the manta ray feeding and the oceanarium show here (although Fenjiezhou Island is located in Lingshui, it's closer to Wanning). ⭐️Luwan Ranch: A super healing small ranch that feels like you're abroad. There are many cute animals here, such as ponies, alpacas, and sika deer. With a cup of vegetables in hand, the little animals will happily run over to you. So cute! 🎈Riyue Bay: You can visit the seaside church, a perfect spot for photos. The waves at Haimen Street are huge in the afternoon, and there are many small snails, shrimps, and crabs on the beach. Many people take their children to this beach for shellfishing at night. 🎈Sheraton Beach: Walk through the Sheraton Hotel lobby to reach the beach. There are many kid-friendly play facilities, such as sea swings and carousels. It's a paradise for kids! 🎈Shimei Bay Beach: Accessible through the Le Méridien Hotel, the sand is fine and soft, and you can also go shellfishing. The beach at Le Méridien Hotel is also a great place for photos. 🎈Qiaohai Ranch: This is a pristine farm that looks like an oil painting. Not recommended. 💡Travel Tips 😻There are many mosquitoes in island areas, so be sure to bring mosquito repellent. I recommend Six God Mosquito Repellent, which lasts up to 7 hours and contains 4.5% DEET for safe use. 😻If you're on a budget and like a lively atmosphere, choose a B&B in Riyue Bay. If you have a larger budget and prefer a quiet environment, choose a hotel in Shimei Bay/Shenzhou Peninsula. 😻You need to take the highway between scenic areas. Renting a cheap car is both economical and convenient. 😻You can bargain when renting electric scooters in the bay area. Avoid Snoopy scooters, as the front is too heavy, all looks and no substance, and the riding experience is not good.
