Wat That Luang Tai in Vientiane

Wat That Luang Tai in Vientiane is located to the south of Pha That Luang, an important religious site in the capital city of Vientiane. It serves as a unifying place for the people of Vientiane. Historically, there were four temples surrounding Pha That Luang: Wat That Luang Nuea, Wat That Luang Tai, Wat That Luang Klang, and Wat Thung. Today, only two remain: Wat That Luang Nuea and Wat That Luang Tai. Inside Wat That Luang Tai, there is a reclining Buddha statue surrounded by various other Buddha statues in different postures. The reclining Buddha here is particularly beautiful, with a footprint of the Buddha located in the center of the statue. This site is a significant religious destination and a popular tourist attraction for visitors to pay their respects.
