Tee Lor Su Waterfall

Tee Lor Su Waterfall is located in Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary, Umphang District, Tak Province. It is said to be the most beautiful waterfall in Thailand. Tee Lor Su is a Karen word meaning black waterfall. The waterfall is a large limestone mountain waterfall, located at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level. The width of the waterfall is about 500 meters, flowing down in tiers, with a height of about 300 meters, surrounded by a pristine rainforest. Traveling to Tee Lor Su Waterfall After arriving at the tent site, there will be a 1.5 km. trail to the waterfall. It is a nature study trail through bamboo forests and mixed deciduous forests. Along the way, there are signs explaining the nature and plants at various points for tourists to study. When you reach the waterfall, you will see water mist spreading all over the rocks below. You can see the stream falling from the limestone cliff which is about 300 meters high and more than 500 meters wide in the midst of the dense forest. The waterfall can be divided into three groups: the group on the left (when facing the waterfall) is the largest, highest, and most beautiful side. There are many waterfalls flowing down in tiers. The middle group, the water flows down from a steep cliff similar to the left group but not in tiers and is narrower. The right group has more waterfalls and lower cliffs than the first two groups. When looking at all three groups together, you will see the great and beautiful Tee Lor Su Waterfall. Below, there is a walkway to a viewpoint on the mountaintop on the opposite side.
