Fashionable Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto.

Located next to the University of Toronto, the Bata Shoe Museum's exhibition halls are not as large as one might imagine. According to the museum's website, over 1,000 shoes and related handicrafts are selected from nearly 15,000 collections for regular display. There are four exhibition halls in total, showcasing the development and function of shoes of different eras and styles. The exhibits range from Chinese bound feet shoes and ancient Egyptian sandals to chestnut wood bottom shoes and charming thick-soled shoes, offering a wide variety. On Sundays, admission is free. It is recommended to start the visit from the basement level, where there is a cloakroom to store heavy winter coats. Outside the cloakroom, there are some unique shoes available for trying on. In addition, there is an area for children to do crafts and read books. Starting from April 20th, there is an exhibition called "Bloom" - a display of flowers and shoes, which should be very interesting. After all, the first shoes were originally derived from nature. Looking back at the history of shoe development, we can explore the inspiration that nature has given people in designing shoes. 📍Detailed address: 327 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1W7
