The inn is right inside the Xizha scenic area, so the moment we checked in, it felt like the town wrapped itself around us—quiet canals, wooden bridges, glowing lanterns, and that peaceful water-town rhythm. Our room overlooked the canal, and waking up to sunlight bouncing off the water with birds chirping softly was just… perfect. The room itself had this lovely blend of old and new—dark wood furniture, lattice windows, soft lighting, and all the modern comforts you’d hope for. It was clean, cozy, and full of character. The staff made a real difference. Our host, Xiao Yuan, welcomed us like friends—carried our bags, showed us around, gave tips on boat rides and dinner spots. It didn’t feel like a hotel. It felt like being looked after by someone who truly cared about our experience. At night, we stepped right outside into lantern-lit lanes and calm reflections on the water. No taxis, no crowds—just us and the soul of Wuzhen. Sitting by the canal after dinner, watching boats glide by under red lanterns, was the kind of stillness I didn’t know I needed. Breakfast was simple but enjoyable—Chinese-style dishes, some fruit, and a nice view of the water while we ate. Could it have had more variety? Maybe.
