EXPLORING THE CHARMING TONGLI

#ancienttown China is renowned for its numerous ancient towns, making it difficult to choose just one. After much thought, we decided on Tongli in Suzhou. The journey was quite smooth, taking about an hour by metro, followed by a short uber ride from the station. When we arrived in Tongli, we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was, almost as if we had the entire town to ourselves. The sprawling compound, filled with dynasty-era pavilions, small bridges over the flowing emerald green water, gardens, charming old shops gave us a fascinating glimpse into life during the olden days.
