Asakusa, the oldest temple in Tokyo, traditional Japanese scenery

Asakusa is the oldest temple in Tokyo. I'm not particularly interested in temples, but I visited because I wanted to see the shopping street Nakamise-dori and the neighborhood in Asakusa that has been around since the Edo period. Nakamise-dori is always full of tourists and locals, and sells various souvenirs and food. I wondered if it was like this during the Edo period and imagined it. While I was there, I also visited the main hall of Sensoji Temple, where locals come to get their fortunes told. There is a store called Asakusa Menchi in one of the old stores on Nakamise-dori, and I heard that the menchikatsu there is famous, so I went there and it was delicious!
