Premium Double Room with Skytree View at Daiichi Hotel Ryogoku

A charming accommodation with a stunning view of the Skytree right in front of you! 😍 Located in Ryogoku, Tokyo, I stayed at the Daiichi Hotel Ryogoku. After departing Komatsu Airport around 5 PM, I arrived at Haneda and checked in at approximately 7:50 PM. The lobby was bustling with elementary school students, likely visiting from rural areas. These students seemed to be participating in a competition. Although I booked a Run of House plan, which assigns rooms randomly, the staff asked about my preferences during check-in. I casually mentioned a non-smoking, high-floor room with a Skytree view. To my delight, they granted my request and assigned me the first Premium Double Room with the best Skytree view on the 22nd floor, part of the premium floors ranging from 15th to 24th. 🙏 Upon entering the room, I followed my usual routine of taking photos first. Then, I opened the curtains, and there it was—the Skytree standing magnificently right in front of me, unobstructed. 😲 As the manager had mentioned, this room offers the closest and clearest view of the Skytree. Lucky me! After snapping photos quickly within five minutes, I headed out to meet my friends living in Tokyo. Our first stop was an izakaya, where we enjoyed draft beer. We indulged in Ryogoku's specialties like chanko nabe, chicken nanban, and shimesaba, paired with highballs and shochu. The hotel's location is convenient—just a 6-minute walk from JR Ryogoku Station and a mere 10-second walk from Exit A1 of Toei Ryogoku Station. After a fun year-end gathering with friends, I returned to my room and had a restful sleep. On the last day, I packed my schedule with activities in Roppongi. I woke up around 7 AM and leisurely joined breakfast. While the hotel boasts a great high-floor view and an excellent Skytree night view, the breakfast was quite ordinary. Back in my room, I spent some time gazing at the Skytree view. The scenery is truly breathtaking—both the night view and the morning view are stunning in their own ways.
