Tokyo: Akasaka Palace (State Guest House)

A splendid venue for diplomatic activities, designated as a National Treasure. I visited the Akasaka Palace (State Guest House) located in Tokyo ☺️ This is Japan's only Neo-Baroque style palace, constructed in 1909 as the Crown Prince's residence. It has been designated as a National Treasure and is open to the public. The palace has hosted numerous kings, presidents, prime ministers, and has been used as a venue for international conferences such as major summit meetings. Photography is prohibited inside the building, but the decorations were truly magnificent.
