Tokyo K5: A Hidden Industrial-Style Gem Inside a Century-Old Bank

♦ The hotel is structured across five levels. The ground floor and basement feature a variety of dining and social spaces, while the upper three floors are dedicated to guest rooms. The area with the most greenery is the Switch coffee shop, which also doubles as a flower shop. Moving further in, you'll find a bar and a Caveman restaurant, set against a backdrop of green, blue, pink, and transparent glass. Claesson Koivisto Rune designed several pieces of furniture for these spaces, including a long sofa with deep red leather cushions, a small wooden stool, and a low coffee table. ♦ The bed frames are surrounded by hand-dyed curtains featuring a gradient of blue and white skies. These curtains are hung in a circular fashion, serving solely as the bed's frame. A custom-made paper lamp hangs overhead. A red "love seat" is placed next to a larger sofa, creating a striking contrast. Larger rooms are adorned with custom tatami-style rugs produced by Kasthall. Bathrooms feature cedar wood paneling, black sinks, and tiled floors.
