Tokyo's Serene Oasis: Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo

This summer, I visited Tokyo and found that many hotels have become much more expensive. Rooms in Shinjuku and Shibuya can easily cost HKD 4,000 per night. In contrast, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo was around HKD 1,000, and the rooms were significantly larger. So, I decided to stay at this classic hotel for five nights. The biggest drawback is the transportation. The nearest subway station, Edogawabashi, is a 10-minute walk away, and it's uphill. Carrying shopping bags back to the hotel can be tiring. However, the walk is through a high-end residential area, which is very quiet and pleasant. There aren't many restaurants nearby, so you have to walk to Gokokuji Station for more options. But the advantages are countless. The rooms are over 45 square meters, with a classical decor that is well-maintained and doesn't feel old at all. The bathroom is bright and spacious, stocked with large bottles of L'Occitane products that are replenished daily. Taking a shower after returning to the hotel is incredibly soothing. The rooms also offer turndown service at night, adding a touch of ceremony. My favorite part is the garden. Stepping out onto the balcony, you're greeted with lush greenery. A morning walk around the garden is incredibly calming. The entire hotel is very quiet, with no street or car noise, ensuring a great night's sleep. For transportation, if you don't want to walk, you can take a taxi directly to Ikebukuro Station. A one-way trip costs around JPY 1,600, which is about HKD 70.
