A domineering name - Shibamata Emperor

Shibamata Teishakuten is officially called Kyoeizan Taikyoji Temple. It was founded in 1629 and is a Nichiren sect temple with a long history. It is said that the statue of Emperor Taishaku in the temple was carved by Nichiren Shonin himself. Indra is one of the patron saints in Buddhism. There is a "Sculpture Gallery" in the temple grounds, and in the Japanese garden "Sui Keien" you can experience the different styles of the four seasons.
