Wat Sri Mongkol (Wat Ban Kong), Nan Province

Wat Sri Mongkol (Wat Ban Kong) is located in Tha Wang Pha District, Nan Province. Inside the temple, there is a royal chapel with beautiful murals, imitating the paintings of Nan Bua Phan, a Tai Lue painter from Nan who painted murals at Wat Phumin and Wat Nong Bua in Nan Province. At the back of the temple, there is a viewpoint where you can see the green rice fields and the mountains of Doi Phu Kha in a maze. In the rice fields, there are accommodations and a coffee shop called Hug Nan.
