The food was also a highlight of this experience. Breakfast was served in the all-day dining restaurant, with freshly cooked Tengchong rice noodles paired with a dozen condiments, freshly baked flower cakes that were crisp to the point of crumbling, and yogurt supplied directly from local farms. For dinner, I tried the hotel’s wild mushroom hot pot, with a dozen kinds of mushrooms like chicken fungus, boletus, and bamboo fungus boiling in a native chicken broth, so fresh it was astonishing. The restaurant thoughtfully prepared a mushroom vegetarian broth for vegetarians, a detail that delighted those who appreciate such care. Time here seems to slow down. During my three days and two nights, I witnessed Yujingtan from morning mist to starry sky and washed away the restlessness of the city in the steaming hot springs. This place lacks the noise of trendy hotels but is filled with a pursuit of quality—it is a hidden paradise worth cherishing and a soul-healing sanctuary worth revisiting many times.
