Chihshang is the rice town of Taiwan and a famous tourist attraction in the Hualien-Taitung Valley. Due to the weather and geographical environment, the rice grains in Chihshang are plump, sweet and delicious. Therefore, it was used as "tribute rice" to the Japanese emperor in the past.
