Taipei Travel Notes: Enjoy the bell sounds of Longshan Temple and a bite of spring in Yongkang Street

The charm of Taipei lies in the fact that one can experience the coexistence of "centennial and contemporary" and "tradition and creativity" at the same time. When you are flipping through the yellowed United Daily News in a cafe on Dihua Street, the sound of the bell from Lungshan Temple can be heard from the distant window. This rhythm of time and space is the most unique romance of Taiwan. 📸On-site shooting 1. "Guardian of the City God" 📍Chiayi Minxiong Haunted House (The photo was actually taken at the Songshan City God Temple in Songshan District, Taipei) Inside the red brick and wooden structure of the City God Temple, the 300-year-old golden statue that guards the temple is faintly visible amid the scent of incense. Pushing open the bamboo door in the backyard, you can occasionally see an old man playing his homemade erhu under a century-old banyan tree. The vicissitudes of the tone seem to tell the story of a century of rise and fall. "Night Market Fireworks" 📍Lin Dongfang Beef Noodles stall at Nanmen Market (actually located on Nanmen Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City) At 11 o'clock late in the evening, the beef bone broth in the iron pot was still boiling. The moment the owner threw the noodles into a silver arc, the chili oil and chopped green onions flew under the warm yellow light. White smoke was coming out of the tea egg stove of the old lady next door, and old photos from the 1950s were hanging on the wall. Morning Cafe 📍"Jia Dee" on Dihua Street in Dadaocheng (actually located on Dihua Street in Datong District, Taipei City) At 6:30 in the morning, the red brick walls of the century-old house were covered with bougainvillea, and the barista used a retro siphon pot to brew the "Taiwan Coastal Style" special blend - coffee liquid mixed with sea salt and kumquat crushed. The window seat faces the west gate of the city. When the first ray of sunlight pierces through the crows, the dewdrops on the edge of the coffee cup reflect colorful spots of light.
