Daxueshan National Forest Recreation Area for Viewing Towering Trees

Daxueshan National Forest Recreation Area was planned from the original Daxueshan Forest Farm, located in Heping District, Taichung City, at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. The area is rich in forest resources, with four types of forests ranging from subtropical, warm temperate, temperate, to cold temperate as the altitude increases, making it a prime area of natural forests in Taiwan. The natural scenery in the area includes virgin forests, sacred trees, Tianchi Lake, sea of clouds, sunsets, and evening glow. There are also forest bathing trails, observation decks, pavilions, flower beds, and a visitor service center. In summer, the temperature in Daxueshan National Forest Recreation Area stays below 18 degrees Celsius, making it a paradise to escape the heat. Throughout the year, you can often see bird watchers with their large cameras. Walking through this forest, you occasionally see towering trees standing tall, their lush and upright bodies interspersed with mist, resembling an ink painting.
