Suzhou No. 20 Garden.

Keyuan, the 20th garden in Suzhou, was built in the sixth year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty. Yin Jishan, the governor of Jiangsu Province, built it here [near the mountains and forests], and named it Paradise, taking the meaning of Confucius' saying "the benevolent enjoy the mountains, the wise enjoy the water". It was renamed Keyuan during the Qianlong period. In the tenth year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1806), the Governor-General of Liangjiang and the Governor of Suzhou built Zhengyi Academy on the site of Keyuan, and later renovated Keyuan many times. Keyuan is the only existing academy garden in Suzhou.
