Nobel Prize Dinner Venue: Stockholm City Hall

#JanuaryGoodPlaces2025 Stockholm City Hall is located on Kungsholmen Island. It is a Renaissance palace building built of red bricks. It is on the shore of Lake Mälaren, only one bridge away from the central station and about a 10-minute walk away. The Town Hall was designed by architect Ragnar Östberg and built between 1911 and 1923. The building is surrounded by two large plazas, an outer courtyard and an indoor lobby, and is built with a total of 8 million red bricks. This city hall is very magnificent. From its 106-meter-high tower, you can overlook the city of Stockholm. On the top of the tower is the three crowns, tre kronor, the national symbol of Sweden. It appears on the Swedish national emblem and consists of two crowns on top and one on the bottom. The auditorium known as Blur Hall (Bla Hallen) is where the Nobel Prize award banquet is held every year.
