Bowness-on-Windermere is one of the liveliest and most popular towns in the Lake District and sits on the shores of Windermere. The town is built along the lake and has a number of cafés, souvenir shops and a boat dock. I was thinking of taking a cruise to visit the lake, but it was cloudy and rainy, so I had to go to a restaurant for hot fish and chips instead. When the rain stops, you can feed the ducks by the lake and walk the streets looking at the misty lake view. It feels peaceful and relaxing.
