🐐 Goat Encounters & Fresh Milk Delights at Hay Dairies!

We recently visited Hay Dairies Goat Farm, and it turned out to be such a refreshing and wholesome experience. Tucked away in the Lim Chu Kang area, this place gave us a lovely break from the usual city routine. The kids were excited from the moment we arrived—seeing goats up close isn’t something they get to do often in Singapore! We got there around 9am and managed to catch the milking session, which was quite interesting. The setup is clean and well-maintained, and you get to view the process from a raised platform. After that, we bought a few packets of alfalfa hay for just $5 and started feeding the goats. They were super eager and came crowding up to us—it was fun and surprisingly therapeutic. The goats were all clean and well-kept, and you could tell the farm takes good care of them. We learned that they produce about 3 litres of milk per day and that their diet is strictly GMO-free. It was also nice that there was a little retail section where we picked up some freshly pasteurized goat milk. The chocolate one was especially good—not too sweet and really creamy. They also had soaps and other goat milk-based products on sale. This isn’t some flashy tourist trap—it’s simple, educational, and honestly very grounding. The staff were friendly, and the overall vibe was calm and rustic. I think the best part was seeing how much the kids enjoyed the experience and learning a little about where milk comes from. If you’re planning to go, definitely aim to reach before 10:30am to catch the milking. And don’t forget some cash for the hay—it’s a small cost for a great interactive moment.
