Sharing my experience of traveling to Singapore on my own.

I recently had the chance to visit Singapore, and I must say it was a truly memorable trip that exceeded my expectations. Initially, I was a bit anxious since it was the first country where I managed everything myself without joining a tour group. However, once I got there, I realized how easy and tourist-friendly it was. Everything is well-organized, transportation is convenient, the city is clean, people speak English fluently, and it’s incredibly safe. I spent 4 days and 3 nights there, planning my itinerary to be packed but not rushed. On the first day, I visited Marina Bay Sands in the evening to enjoy the nighttime view. The city lights were stunning, blending modernity with a touch of romance. I walked across the Helix Bridge and finally saw the iconic Merlion statue spouting water. It was such an exciting moment that I felt like a kid again, and of course, I had to take a photo with the Merlion as a keepsake. On the second day, I woke up early to explore Gardens by the Bay. This place was absolutely breathtaking, featuring the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest, which showcase plants from around the world. There’s even a waterfall inside the dome, creating a refreshing and visually pleasing atmosphere. In the evening, I waited for the light and sound show at Supertree Grove. Despite the large crowd, once the show started, everyone fell silent, soaking in the magical atmosphere. It felt like being in a sci-fi movie. Day three was all about Universal Studios Singapore! I had so much fun that I forgot my age. There were plenty of thrilling rides, and I particularly loved the Sci-Fi City zone, especially the Battlestar Galactica roller coaster. Although I was scared, I still went for it. I also enjoyed the Jurassic Park zone, where I went on a water raft ride—got soaked but had a blast. Throughout the park, there were various food stalls offering snacks, ice cream, and drinks. I tried the Turkey Leg, which was so huge it felt like wielding a weapon—such a fun experience. On the last day before heading home, I stopped by Bugis Street to shop for souvenirs. This place offers affordable and diverse items, from clothing and accessories to small gifts like fridge magnets, keychains, and local snacks. I also visited the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown, which had a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere. You could truly feel the devotion of those who came to worship. During the trip, I also had the chance to practice using English seriously, chatting with strangers to ask for directions and using Google Maps to plan my routes. It wasn’t just a fun trip—it made me feel more confident, capable, and broadened my horizons. Singapore may not be a large country, but it’s rich in diversity, from culture and cuisine to its people and advanced technology. This trip has inspired me to explore other countries and collect more new experiences in life. For anyone hesitant about stepping out into the world, I highly recommend Singapore as your first destination. It’s beginner-friendly, easy to navigate, safe, has a great atmosphere, delicious food, and offers plenty to learn and discover.
