A piece of memory left behind in Singapore, Emerald Hill

#singaporetrip With the recent launch of the drama series "The Little Nyonya - Emerald Hill" which gained famed among the Singaporeans, Malaysians etc, this place has emerged as a very famous tourists spot. Emerald Hill is an enclave between Orchard Road and Novena, which is a heritage area comprising many old residence by the rich Peranakans in the 30s and 40s. Peranakans are the descendants of the old Chinese who arrived in Malaysia/Singapore who sharef common culture and heritage with the locals, they are called Baba and Nyonya. Today, many of them left the place and resettled in other locations, but these area were left untouched due to cultural and heritage reasons, which will be redeveloped as the heritage enclave of Singapore in the future.
