Located near a prominent shopping district in Singapore, the property is nestled in Cairnhill Road. Mind you, if you’re into hotel rooms that has great outdoor views, Ascott Orchard does not offer a picturesque scene from your window. It’s surrounded by other tall serviced-apartments and condominiums, but then again, why would you wanna look out the window when the hotel is just as breathtakingly beautiful? As I stepped out from my car, the first impression that I had of the property was how modern-looking everything looks. The building design is clean and sleek, although typical if you’re working in Singapore’s business district like I am. I always get intrigued with skyscrapers and architecture, that’s just the geek in me! The clear, blue skies reflected from the glass exterior makes the view more aesthetically pleasing. The hotel lobby is located on the second level. For a big property, I’m surprised that the check-in area wasn’t as spacious. Small, yet cosy. And there were only two check-in counters.
