The sunset seen from Piazza del Campo felt like time travel. Walking slowly, I felt the dignity of old Europe again. 2. Siena Cathedral (Duomo di Siena) The elaborate Gothic cathedral is the pride of Siena. The marble floor decoration and the Piccolomini Library are overwhelming. A feast of art that captivates the eyes and the heart. 3. Montepulciano The hilltop wine village, the scenery of Val d'Orcia unfolds endlessly. I savored an Italian afternoon while drinking local wine, ‘Vino Nobile’, on the terrace. 4. Orvieto A town built on a cliff. The view of the ancient city unfolds when you take the cable car up. The truffle pasta I ate in the square in front of the Orvieto Cathedral was unforgettable. 5. Assisi Assisi, the city of St. Francis, was quiet and sacred. My heart was at peace in the scenery of white stone streets and pink sunsets. 6. Spello Like its nickname, ‘the town of flowers’, every house was full of flowers. Just walking down the alley felt like entering a fairy tale. The simple beauty of a small town. 7. Perugia The central city of Umbria and a city with a youthful sensibility. A place where ancient ruins and modern culture come together. The night spent with musicians playing on the streets filled the last part of the trip with warmth. 🌅 The end of the journey, the beginning of the aftertaste The red walls of Siena and the green hills of Umbria.
