Ta Prohm Temple and Trees in Siem Reap

🔮 Ta Prohm Temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia, is famous for being enveloped by the roots of the Spung trees. I visited Ta Prohm Temple, one of the Angkor archaeological sites in Cambodia. Although smaller in scale compared to Angkor Wat or Bayon, its unique atmosphere, where nature and architecture blend seamlessly, left a strong impression on me. 🌳 🌲 The temple is surrounded by massive Spung tree roots, giving the impression that time has stood still. The roots, while destroying the structure, also seem to support it, creating a symbolic image. I heard it was a filming location for the movie Tomb Raider, and upon visiting, I could truly understand its mysterious ambiance. The reason why the enormous tree roots cannot be removed is due to concerns that the temple might collapse. Measures are being taken to prevent further growth of the roots. 🍁
