How to Play on Shodoshima in the Summer: A Two-Day, One-Night Itinerary Here

Visiting Shodoshima in summer, I didn't go to Kankakei, one of Japan's three most beautiful gorges, mainly because it's famous for autumn leaves. 📆The two-day, one-night itinerary on Shodoshima mainly covers three attractions: Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village~Olive Park~Angel Road ➡️Departing from Takamatsu Port, it only takes an hour by ferry to reach Shodoshima. Head to the Shodoshima International Hotel near Angel Road to drop off your luggage, then take the bus directly to the farthest Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village This is a small village by the sea, where the movie 'Twenty-Four Eyes' was filmed. Strolling through the village, you'll see the early Showa era's old-time charm, as if walking through a time tunnel. ➡️Next, take the bus to Olive Park, and be sure to notice the bus stop, which is made from a giant soy sauce barrel. Because Shodoshima's climate is very similar to the Mediterranean, olives are also abundant here. Olive Park has a windmill with Greek flair. Don't forget to borrow a broom from the visitor center and cosplay a scene from 'Kiki's Delivery Service' here. ➡️Finally, return to the Shodoshima International Hotel, where Angel Road is located. With the ebb and flow of the tide, the sandy path to the small island in the sea appears and disappears, and it's only accessible at specific times each day, making it a popular path of love for many couples. 🛥Shodoshima Ferry: The most convenient way to Shodoshima is from Takamatsu Port, which has the most frequent services. There are also ferries from Okayama Port, Himeji Port, and Kobe Port on Honshu, but the services are less frequent, so it's important to plan your time wisely.
