Shenzhen Library

The new Shenzhen Library, opened in 2006, was designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki. Its main entrance, symbolizing a "silver tree," is a popular reading spot for the public and tourists. The building has six floors. Currently, there's an exhibition of works by Russian writer Leo Tolstoy at the entrance. Bag storage and retrieval are done simply by scanning your face, making the process very smooth. Take the subway to the Children's Palace Station, and you'll find many dining options right outside the station. Lianhuashan Park to the north is also a great place for a stroll and relaxation. I also highly recommend the Shenzhen Book City, located right outside the Children's Palace station.
