Local Delicacies & Canals in Shaoxing 🏮

Cangqiao Straight Street is a popular tourist attraction in downtown Shaoxing, Yuecheng district. Whilst the street is packed with shops, restaurants, handicrafts, coffee shops, Shaoxing yellow wine sellers, it’s also a good place to discover local snacks and how they’re made. Surprisingly, I found long queues of people eager to taste local delicacies at every corner despite of the rain that day. I wandered in the alleys leading to the back of the street, where water canals with old Chinese architecture buildings and Wupeng boats 🛶 offer such a picturesque scenery. If you want a boat ride, there’s a wharf, a few meters from the main entrance on Guangming Road. Just walk along the canal on your left, you’ll spot it easily ✌🏼 Address ➡️ Cangqiao Straight Street, 仓桥直街 How to go ➡️ I took a taxi 🚕. The driver will most probably drop you at the main entrance or nearby.
