Anchang Ancient Town is a different kind of Jiangnan water town, as described by Lu Xun. It was once rated as an ancient town full of New Year flavor by CCTV. The streets are full of sausages and smoked chicken with a taste of home, as well as local delicacies such as steaming hot cakes, wontons, and stinky tofu. Black awning boats slowly shuttle through the ancient town. Compared with most commercial ancient towns, Anchang Ancient Town has a more authentic atmosphere. This ancient town is free to enter, but there are 6 attractions inside that require a ticket. You can buy a combo ticket or individual tickets. I didn't go inside, I just wandered around outside and read the introductions.
