What is there in Shanghai that is worth visiting again and again?

As China's largest city, Shanghai is truly bustling and bustling, with excellent transportation links. Besides being a transit point, the city itself offers numerous attractions. My last visit to Shanghai was for the 2010 World Expo. Over a decade later, I revisited the city with my son and found it continues to evolve. While some things have remained the same (like Yu Garden), more buildings with innovative designs have emerged. My son and I hiked four routes: ① The must-see attractions along the Bund: Shamei Building, the Postal Museum, Waibaidu Bridge, the Bund International Architecture Complex, the Peace Hotel, and Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street. This route gets increasingly popular as the night progresses, with crowds constantly pouring in. ② The artistic Jing'an and Xujiahui districts: Jing'an Temple, Wukang Building, Xujiahui Academy, and Xujiahui Catholic Church. We took the route to pose for photos as a celebrity. Note that the Catholic Church has a dress code; I wasn't allowed in shorts. ③ A route where you can find everything from vintage to trendy: Starbucks Reserve Roastery, Zhang Garden, Tianzifang, Sinan Mansions, and Xintiandi. Wander through the alleys and shop at boutique department stores. ④ Lujiazui's towering commercial buildings: Oriental Pearl TV Tower, IFC Mall, Duoyun Academy, Shanghai World Financial Center, etc. Each one taller than the last, each with its own unique design. #Shanghai
