#summervacay With Marriott hotels in China generally seeing price hikes, finding good value is key. This time, I decided to try the Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel, and I'm happy to give it a solid 4.7 out of 5! There were no obvious downsides during my stay. What I Loved About My Stay: Fresh Appearance: The hotel definitely looks quite new, at least from the lobby. While it's probably not a brand-new build and has some years under its belt (you can tell from the rooms), the lobby's decor is tastefully done and stylish. Convenient Dining & Lounge Setup: Both the restaurant and the executive lounge were located in the same space on the first floor. This is a bit unusual, perhaps due to lounge renovations, but it meant some executive lounge features like meeting rooms weren't available. Good Value for Money: In the current climate of rising hotel prices, this hotel offers excellent value for its quality. Peaceful Surroundings: The hotel is nestled among high-quality residential compounds, making the overall environment quite peaceful. However, it's not isolated at all! There's a shopping complex downstairs, and the street next door is bustling with many charming cafes.
