[Dishui Lake] Planetarium Theme - Stargazing HOTEL

[Where to Stay in Lingang] No.1 InterContinental Dishui Lake, May 2–3, 2025 | May Day Outing | 2 Days, 1 Night | InterContinental Hotel welcomes👏 partners to share (luxury hotel). Like and support with a heart ❤️! Follow each other! This is my second time choosing InterContinental this year. This time, I stayed in 2 room types (Deluxe Balcony Room & Planetarium Theme Room). This review is about the latter. 1) Address and location: The hotel is located on Dishui South Island, with a 120-degree lake view. The Twin Towers "Double 11" are fully visible. It is definitely the first hotel by the lake. The infinity pool in the hotel is the best spot to watch the fireworks show "every Saturday." The hotel is approx. 2.5 km (35 min walk) from Dishui Lake Metro Station Line 16, approx. 2.5 km (40 min walk) from the China Maritime Museum, and approx. 4 km (1 hr walk) from the Shanghai Astronomy Museum. 2) Environment: The hotel consists of five petals (A, B, C, D, E). The 281 rooms are distributed among the 5 "petals." This time, I stayed in a "theme room on the first floor of Area C." 3) Hardware: The theme room is located in the best petal (personally)! The theme atmosphere is very strong! There is a telescope 🔭, starry sky atmosphere lights, astronaut 🧑‍🚀 dolls, planet cartoon pillows, and a DIY Lego wall. Haha 😄 It is definitely a secret base for children & big boys. The sound insulation of the room is very good! The layout is spacious and bright, and the decoration and maintenance are generally new (the furniture is reasonably/compactly distributed). The bed is large, wide, and of moderate softness and hardness. The pillows are also of acceptable height, softness, and hardness. The bedding feels delicate and soft (the sleep experience is great). The bathroom has a wet and dry separation design. I like to scrub ｛bath with bath salts｝, and first use Byredo bath products, a Swedish fragrance brand. The embedded courtyard allows you to bathe in the sun during the day and look at the stars at night. Other equipment includes a kettle, coffee machine, safe, mini refrigerator, and smart electronic clock. 4) Service: This time, the butler, Danae, was very helpful (thumbs up). She took good care of this big boy, and her service was warm and meticulous. 5) Dining: Breakfast starts at 7:00AM and includes Chinese and Western dishes (not very rich). There are many carbohydrate dishes, which is not very friendly to people like me who don’t like carbohydrates! There are also no local Nanhui delicacies, but the dishes taste acceptable, and the distribution of the dining area is relatively scattered (the flow is unreasonable). [Summary]: The theme room has a first-class design, beautiful environment, good hardware, and satisfactory service. The price is a bit expensive but acceptable. The only suggestion is that the variety of breakfast dishes and the quality of the ingredients need to be improved! It would be great to provide (personal) bathing/moisturizing products!
