Shanghai Guangfulin Cultural Site

Visiting Shanghai during the May Day holiday, the city was packed with traffic jams and crowds everywhere. Unable to enter Guangfulin, I decided to take some photos of the scenery from the outside, leaving a record of my visit with a touch of regret. I’ll save the full exploration for my next trip to Shanghai. The Shanghai Guangfulin Cultural Site is located on the northern side of Guangfulin Village in Songjiang District, Shanghai. This ancient site dates back 4,000 to 2,500 years and was discovered by local residents in 1958. Since then, it has undergone multiple excavations, covering an area of 24,000 square meters. The site is divided into three cultural layers, with the third layer identified as Guangfulin Culture in 2006. In 2013, Guangfulin was designated as a National Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit. On June 26, 2018, the first phase of the Guangfulin Cultural Site was officially completed and opened to the public.
