Shanghai Bund: Lujiazui Night View

You must visit Lujiazui to experience the glamour and extravagance of the Shanghai Bund ✨ When visiting Shanghai, Lujiazui is a must-see destination. It's the financial heart of Shanghai and the best place to witness the prosperity of this magical city. The towering skyscrapers compose an energetic symphony of modern urban life, while the gentle breeze from the Huangpu River adds a touch of romance. 🏙 Recommended Attractions • Oriental Pearl Tower: Shanghai's iconic landmark standing 468 meters tall, reaching into the clouds. From the observation deck, the entire Shanghai Bund lies at your feet. During the day, you can take in the city's bustling panorama, while at night, the dazzling neon lights are so beautiful you can't look away, as if you've stepped into a futuristic world. • Shanghai Tower: China's tallest and the world's second tallest building at 632 meters. The high-speed elevator takes just 55 seconds to reach the 118th floor observation deck. Standing on the fully transparent glass viewing platform, you can look down at both sides of the Huangpu River and experience the thrill of walking among the clouds. • Shanghai World Financial Center: Its unique "bottle opener" design is eye-catching. The 100th floor observation deck features a "suspended walkway" where you walk with nothing but a sheer drop beneath your feet—perfect for thrill-seekers. • Jin Mao Tower: The 88th floor observation deck offers an excellent vantage point to overlook Lujiazui. Its unique "time-space tunnel" takes you through Shanghai's past and present, allowing you to experience the joy of walking in the clouds. • Shanghai Ocean Aquarium: A 155-meter underwater tunnel makes you feel like you're in an underwater world. With over 300 species including penguins, sharks, jellyfish, and more than 10,000 rare fish, it's a great place for family visits. 🚇 Transportation Guide • Subway: Line 2 Lujiazui Station is the most convenient, with all attractions nearby. For example, it's only about a 10-minute walk from the Oriental Pearl Tower to Shanghai Tower. • Bus: There are many bus routes in the area, such as the Lujiazui Loop, Routes 81 and 82. Buses are a good choice if you want to enjoy the scenery along the way. • Taxi/Ride-hailing: Very convenient when you're in a hurry or have a lot of luggage, though traffic jams are possible during peak hours. • Ferry: Take the Dong Jin Line from the Jinling East Road Ferry Terminal on the Bund to the Dongchang Road Ferry Terminal to reach Lujiazui directly while enjoying views of both riverbanks. 🍱 Food Recommendations • Local Shanghai Cuisine: Shanghai Restaurant's sheng jian bao (pan-fried buns) with crispy skin and delicious soup; Lvbolang's crab roe xiaolongbao bursting with crab flavor when you bite into them. • Western Food: The FLAIR rooftop restaurant and bar at the Ritz-Carlton Lujiazui offers delicious food while enjoying the Bund's night view, creating a perfect atmosphere. • Snacks: The crispy-outside, tender-inside pork chop with rice cake near Century Avenue; and the sweet, soft traditional Shanghai haitang cake. Come to Lujiazui to experience Shanghai's speed and passion, and feel the infinite charm of this city. You'll definitely fall in love with this place!

Shanghai Travel Review | Night View Spots I recently traveled to Shanghai, China. My original travel style is more urban than natural, and Shanghai was a city that really suited my tastes. The night view was especially overwhelming. In this post, I will organize the main attractions in Shanghai that I visited, the atmosphere I felt there, and my personal reviews. 1. Oriental Pearl Tower When you think of Shanghai, the first place that comes to mind is the Oriental Pearl Tower. It is beautiful during the day, but the Oriental Pearl Tower at night is truly a work of art. Thanks to the colorful lights, you can look at it without getting tired of it. When I went, it was mainly purple, blue, and pink lights, and it matched Shanghai’s futuristic atmosphere very well. I also went up to the observation deck, and there was a section with a glass floor, so it was a little dizzying. You know that scary but fun feeling? The view of the entire city of Shanghai at a glance, and the Huangpu River and the Bund is something I will remember for the rest of my life. ⸻ 2. Pudong Financial District (Lujiazui) Located not far from the Oriental Pearl Tower, Pudong Financial District. This is a place that truly fits the description of a ‘future city’. Shanghai Tower, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) are all gathered here. Each building shows a gorgeous video with LEDs, and it feels like you’re in a big screen city. In particular, the red light lines flowing through Shanghai Tower were so intense that they caught my eye. The night view before my eyes was so overwhelming that I sat by the river and stared blankly for a long time. ⸻ 3. The Bund And the Bund Street across the river. This place has a completely different atmosphere. Traditional European-style buildings line the street, and when the lights come on, it’s really old-fashioned and beautiful. The futuristic appearance of the forest of buildings and the classic feel of the Bund face each other, and the city of Shanghai itself feels like a city where the past and the present coexist. I took a lot of pictures while walking, and each building has vivid details, so I highly recommend it to those who are interested in architecture. ⸻ 4. Yangpu Bridge I was worried that just seeing the night view in Shanghai would be boring, so I looked for other places, and the place that left the deepest impression on me this time was Yangpu Bridge. I took pictures in black and white on purpose, and the magnificent structure and the cloudy sky strangely matched well, so it felt like a scene from a movie. It was nice to be able to enjoy a different atmosphere by stopping by at least one place like this during a trip focused on the night view. ⸻ 🗺 Overall Review If I were to summarize my trip to Shanghai in one word, I would say it is “the city of light, a place where the future and the past coexist.” • Those who like night views → Definitely recommended • Those who like city trips → Go to Shanghai • Those who like architecture and photography → You will want to go there and take pictures all day long? Through this trip, I fell in love with the charm of the city once again. Next time, I want to see more of the daytime scenery. I hope this helps those of you who are planning a trip to Shanghai. If you have any questions, please leave a comment :)
