🖤 The artistry of the Park Hyatt Shanghai is extremely subtle. Unlike the Park Hyatt Sanya, it doesn't need to use a wealth of formal artworks to create an atmosphere. Instead, it uses restrained strokes of walnut wood and large amounts of stone in its huge spaces. Through that super high window, it leaves the freehand scenery for each guest to experience on their own. "All descriptions of scenery imply emotion." - 🤍As a Globalist member, I was upgraded from a basic room to a deluxe Bund view room, 8803, the best room below a suite. The front hall at check-in wasn't as aloof as I had imagined. The service had a sense of boundaries, but it was still warm, which suited an introverted person like me. In the super high-ceilinged guest rooms, the scale distortion expressed by regular items is well-disciplined into order by Tony Chi, restrained yet rich. The equally high mirrors and cabinets write of only formal "uselessness." - 🩶The Chinese restaurant is delicious. I personally think that Park's catering inherits its "home away from home" concept, with stable food standards and the traditional Chinese dietary concept of eating seasonally. This allows its stable core to flow quietly, delicious but not surprising. - 🖤Overall, the guest room experience is still great, with restrained language and a "framed view" of clouds, a freehand posture combined with enough mental space, and a "thought-provoking" guide to residential imagination. - 🩶The reason why the Park Hyatt Shanghai is constantly controversial is because of its subtle cultural nature, which needs to be discovered through the parallax of time and space over a cycle. Fifteen years ago, among a crowd of gorgeous languages, the Park Hyatt Shanghai entered the WFC with a brand new, cool posture. With its huge spatial scale and minimalist design, it used "the Bund," a scroll that sufficiently condenses the modern history of Shanghai, to write half of the "viewing experience" for every resident viewer. Overall, it is indeed my favorite Park that I have stayed at. Park itself follows the core of "Luxury is Personal," so everyone has their own unique Park in their heart. It will not lose its unique charm because it is called Park Hyatt Shanghai or Park Hyatt Hangzhou.
