I finally found a place near Jamsil Station that would satisfy my craving for a local Japanese food tour! The name of the store is 'Baekyongbang Songpa'! Baekyongbang's specialty is a restaurant specializing in authentic home-style udon and rice bowls that recreate the taste of local Japanese food, such as rice bowls with beef tripe, chicken neck, and marinated salmon steak rice bowls. This place has been featured on TV programs such as 'Live Tonight' and 'Master of Life'. On the day I visited, they were busy preparing for the filming of 'The Restaurant with a Line'. 😎 Since I didn't want my face to be exposed on TV, I was guided to a suitable seat and sat down. 🕺 I ordered the famous 'Fukuoka Ebisuya Galbi Udon', 'Yakidori Don', 'Beef Tripe Rice Bowl', and 'Tonglemon Saiko Sawa'. Fukuoka Ebisuya Galbi Udon is a refreshing cold udon, so it is a delicacy that is enough to cool down in the hot summer season like these days. The chewy and elastic udon noodles with a refreshing feeling + the refreshing broth with a sweet and salty charm + the chewy and sweet meat, vegetables, egg yolk, and crispy fried shrimp topped with gomyeong were a wonderful combination. After eating it, I felt like I had hit a grand slam! The yakitori-don made with special chicken parts caught my eye with its rich and hearty visual. It is the taste of grilled chicken skewers that we are familiar with, with a good combination of sweet and salty. When you eat this as a rice bowl, it feels similar to oyako-don? If you like oyako-don, you will enjoy it! The moment I ate the yakitori on top of the rice, I thought of the grilled chicken skewers I had at Shinjuku Omoide Yokocho. Thanks to that, I felt like I was eating in a back alley of Shinjuku, Tokyo? After eating, I suddenly wanted to go to Japan. As soon as the free travel is open, I'll get a ticket and fly away...🕺 The beef tripe rice bowl made with Korean beef tripe has the rich and savory taste of tripe that I felt in Korean beef tripe stew. If you eat it with vegetables such as jalapenos and chives and wasabi that are served together, you can create a different taste. Above all, I liked the tripe that was filled inside the tripe! It has a Korean-style savory and spicy taste that will really stimulate the hearts of Koreans! If you add sesame oil to it, it seems like it will explode with the taste of Hwa-ryong-jeom-jeong! The visual of the whole lemon psychedelic was impactful because it was served with a large, whole frozen lemon. The refreshing, tangy, and sweet taste was enough to cleanse the palate after eating a heavy meal. If you don't like strong alcohol, you can drink it without any problems. The price of the food was a bit high, but overall, it was high quality, and I was able to experience the local Japanese taste, so I was able to have a very satisfying meal.
